MOTHER AND DAUGHTER CHALLENGE: KARA’S ONLINE JOURNAL WEEK 5

Tuesday, April 17

Another day of working out with Beth! I wound up going to a later than normal appointment today because of scheduling conflicts and I noticed the difference immediately. I found that when I work out at 3:45 in the afternoon I have a lot less energy than I do in the morning! (Ugh.) It was a really tough workout today, and Beth incorporated a lot of yoga to go along with all my weight training, which is extremely hard for me because I am not very flexible. I felt lethargic and weak and it was hard to keep up with her as we went through all the different moves. However, I do have to say  she has a way of keeping you going when you don’t believe you can lift one more weight or do one more sit-up. She told me today that my core is really weak but she is starting to see progress, even since we first began together. So, that was positive and even as the session came to a close, I was hurting but felt really great that every time I work with her I am becoming stronger and getting closer to my goal.

Tonight we met the most amazing “rock-star” dentists in the industry. And I do not say that lightly! The Silverstrom Group was the most amazing experience I have ever, ever had with dentists and not only am so I excited to be a part of this process, I plan to continue to be a part of this group long after the contest is over. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel like family. Alex, the front desk receptionist, was so warm and welcoming and offered us tea, coffee or water while we waited in their waiting room. When we met the hygienists and dentists, everyone was so excited for us to be a part of this process and treated us like queens. I got many “before” pictures and Dr. Gary explained to me from beginning to end exactly his plan for transforming my mouth so that I will love my smile at the end of all of this. He also mentioned fitting me with a mouth guard so I don’t grind my teeth anymore at night and explained to me how Invisalign works. I loved how they made me feel so comfortable and I wasn’t nervous at all to consider any of the procedures. I couldn’t be happier to be part of such a wonderful group of people and I am so excited to see how fantastic my new smile will look!
